Analyses in two demonstration areas (the Great Plains and the Californias) will help identify approaches and opportunities to enhance connectivity between conservation areas in order to better conserve biodiversity and build environmental and social resilience in our rapidly changing world.
Assessing Land-Base Conservation In North America
As a NAPA Committee Partner, the United States Geological Survey maintains a spatial database of North American conservation areas allowing to evaluate the extent to which various ecosystems are conserved across North America. This helps illustrate where and how trilateral cooperation can enhance shared conservation goals.
Fostering Inclusivity and Respect
Stories shared by NAPA members agencies that illustrate a diversity of approaches to collaboration among Indigenous organizations and communities and federal managers to inclusively manage public lands. Collectively, they illustrate how we can create a better future, one in which we live with respect for nature and each other, and understand that all is inextricably linked.
